Artale Night Lord Guide
Rogue → Assassin → Hermit → Night Lord
Choose a job
Quick take
- The 4th job has 2 builds: Build 1 (Triple Throw first (Jr. Newtie parties and bosses)), Build 2 (Solo Oblivion 4/6 (reset around Lv.145)); pick by your situation and see "Skill build" for the order.
- After Lv.120 there are 5 places to train (2 of them work with a party); the best reported EXP is Ulu Estate I/II, Entrance / Centre of / Along the Ulu City, about 3M–5M per 10 minutes solo.
- In Singapore the best report is Ulu Estate II: a median of about 4.5M per 10 minutes (6 reports, Lv.167–182).
Summed up from the sections below, where the details and exceptions are; sources are listed at the end of the page.
What it plays like
- LUK is the main stat and DEX the secondary; about 5 LUK per attack. Maple Warrior only boosts AP you put in yourself, so let gear carry DEX and put AP into LUK.
- Many also raise one as a Haste buffer (more drops and mesos for the party), using parties to reach Lv.77 quickly.
Stats
- Lv.10 and 25 DEX to advance; then mostly LUK, with DEX from gear (scrolls give more DEX per slot and it doesn't go to waste when you swap).
- Claw speed: Lv.30+ claws are Fast (4) and the Wolf's Fang is Faster (3); until Claw Booster, use it and skip the 35 and 40 claws.
Training in Singapore
| Map | Median EXP | Reports | Levels |
|---|---|---|---|
Ulu Estate II![]() ![]() | ~4.5M | 6 | 167–182 |

EXP is the median of player reports per 10 minutes from Sep 2026 (before the 9/29 update), mixing runs with and without Holy Symbol and event bonuses — a rough guide only.
- Night Lords mostly party at Central Way 2 (every group has Sharp Eyes); Ulu Estate II needs plenty of HP.
Skill build
Click a skill for the skill database; the number after the slash is its max level. SP per job: 61 at 1st (67 for magicians), 121 at 2nd, 151 at 3rd.
Beginner
- Artale's Three Snails uses no snail shells, so it carries you through the early levels.
- Heal now restores HP over a minute and saves a lot of potions early on; Nimble Feet 3 is fine too if you want speed.
Rogue
SP 61- 1
Lucky SevenLv.1/20 - 2
Nimble BodyLv.3/20 - 3
Keen EyesLv.8/8 - 4
Lucky SevenLv.20/20 - 5
Nimble BodyLv.20/20 - 6
Dark SightLv.13/20
- Early resources are thin and trading opens at Lv.30, so you rely on Three Snails until about Lv.17 before affording a claw and stars.
- Disorder became an attack and defense debuff that works on bosses, so you will max it later; Dark Sight lasts 10 s; Double Stab goes 140% → 160%.
- Or end with Dark Sight 1 and Disorder 12 instead.
Assassin
SP 121- 1
Claw MasteryLv.3/20 - 2
Critical ThrowLv.1/30 - 3
Claw MasteryLv.5/20 - 4
Claw BoosterLv.3/20 - 5
Critical ThrowLv.30/30 - 6
HasteLv.20/20 - 7
Claw MasteryLv.20/20 - 8
Claw BoosterLv.20/20 - 9
DisorderLv.20/20 - 10
Dark SightLv.20/20
- This is the attack-first build; the other common order takes Haste 20 first, then Mastery, Booster and Lucky Seven, ending with Drain 30.
Hermit
SP 151- 1
AvengerLv.5/30 - 2
Flash JumpLv.1/20 - 3
Shadow PartnerLv.30/30 - 4
AvengerLv.30/30 - 5
Flash JumpLv.20/20 - 6
AlchemistLv.20/20 - 7
Meso UpLv.20/20
- Spend the rest as you like, e.g. Shadow Web 1 and Shadow Meso 30.
- Meso Up goes 50% → 60% in Artale, and Shadow Meso can hit monsters immune to weapon damage.
Night Lord
- 1
Triple ThrowLv.1/30 - 2
Venomous StarLv.1/30 - 3
Shadow StarsLv.1/30 - 4
Triple ThrowLv.30/30 - 5
Venomous StarLv.30/30 - 6
Maple WarriorLv.9/30 - 7
TauntLv.30/30 - 8
Ninja StormLv.25/30 - 9
Shadow StarsLv.11/30
- Before Oblivion 4/6 you mostly party at Jr. Newties, so max Triple Throw first. A sample progression: Triple Throw 28 at Lv.129; Triple Throw 30 and Venom 29 at 139; Maple Warrior 8 at 142; at 162 Triple Throw 30, Venom 30, Spirit Javelin 5 or 11, Maple Warrior 9, Taunt 30 and Ninja Storm 25 or 19.
- Build 2 is for well-geared players who skip raids and field bosses and solo with their own Sharp Eyes and Holy Symbol: ideally reset at Lv.145 for Oblivion 4/6. Triple Throw 1 already beats Lucky Seven, Spirit Javelin 1 is plenty, and Ninja Storm 7 pushes three monsters. Oblivion captains hit for about 4,000 magic damage, so a low level can die to two hits.
- At Lv.145 you usually only do Zakum, and Triple Throw 1 is enough; Hard Papulatus parties rarely take players below 150.
- Triple Throw gains 1% mastery per 77 LUK; Spirit Javelin became +10% boss damage; Venom's chance goes 30% → 40%; Taunt and Holy Symbol EXP now add instead of multiply.
Leveling route
Level ranges are suggestions; later stages list several options to pick from by accuracy, damage and potion budget. EXP is a rough figure per 10 minutes, often with Holy Symbol or event bonuses.
- 10–23Lv
Snails until about Lv.17, when you can afford a claw and stars. Bubblings drop the Fish Spear and Cape INT 100%.
- 20–35Lv
or Kerning PQ
- 30–40Lv
- 35–50Lv
or Ludibrium PQ
Master Chronos drop Tobi stars; they're Lv.60-something with Lv.50-ish stats, a popular grind toward 3rd job.
- 51–77Lv
Orbis PQ → Pirate PQ → Romeo & Juliet PQ
The fast route: Ludibrium PQ to 51 → Orbis PQ to 55 → Pirate PQ to 71 → Romeo & Juliet to 77.
- 77–117Lv
CD maps (best as a pair) → fish houses
Fish houses once you two-shot big CDs without Sharp Eyes and break a house in 4–5 hits with it; Lucky Seven for houses, Avenger for crowds.
- 110–131Lv
shark parties, Skelegon leeching
From 117 the fish houses no longer trigger the aura.
- 120–145Lv
Jr. Newtie parties
Max Triple Throw and party at Jr. Newties; start the Temple of Time 999 quests from 130.
- 130–165Lv
Singapore, Central Way 2
Night Lords mostly party here (every group has Sharp Eyes).
- 145–200Lv
solo Road to Oblivion 4/6
With your own Sharp Eyes and Holy Symbol and no raids, reset at 145 and solo; Chief Guardians hit for about 4,000 magic damage.
- 140–190Lv
Singapore, Ghost Ship 1/2/5/6
Ghost Ship 6 reports about 3–4M (Lv.163).
- 150–200Lv
Ulu Estate I/II, Entrance / Centre of / Along the Ulu City
Estate II median about 4.5M (Lv.167–182); needs plenty of HP.
Gear
- Lv.1–30: a claw and work gloves (glove ATT scrolls), +2 speed rubber boots at 11, the Wolf's Fang at 25 (7 claw ATT 100% scrolls, 70k from the Kerning swamp NPC) and the brown hat (+3 LUK).
- Lv.31–70: the green hat (+3 DEX), the blue suit at 35 (overall DEX 100%), the Icarus avoid cape at 42, Lv.60 claw and suit, the Lv.70 armor. Use snowflake weather (+20 attack) when training, or at least takoyaki from the Japan shrine (+8).
Tips
- In Artale, Meso Explosion ignores physical immunity — exactly what Papulatus's orb bombs have — so it's taken for Papulatus.
